Connecting students to healthcare careers
MedConnect is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to connecting Tri-Valley high school students with local healthcare shadowing opportunities.
Our Mission
MedConnect exists to make healthcare career exploration accessible, structured, and equitable for all high school students in the Tri-Valley. We believe that every student interested in medicine, dentistry, and allied health deserves the chance to see these careers in action — regardless of who they know or where they live.
By partnering with local clinics, dental practices, and healthcare professionals across Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon, and Fremont, MedConnect replaces the inefficient cold-emailing process with a trusted, organized platform.
Our Story
MedConnect began with a simple observation: too many motivated high school students in the Tri-Valley had no clear path to explore healthcare careers beyond textbooks and TV shows. Meanwhile, local clinics wanted to give back but lacked an organized way to manage student interest.
We built MedConnect to bridge that gap — creating a platform where students can discover real opportunities and clinics can easily connect with the next generation of healthcare professionals in our community.
